The IT Policy of the Government of Assam aims to catalyze economic growth and undergo revision in regular intervals over the years. The existing IT Policy was framed in 2009. The new set of IT Policy 2016 is in its draft form and under review. It aims to create an environment for investment promotion in addition to creation of employment opportunities in the IT/ITeS sectors of Assam. The main goal is to become a leading destination for investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the country.
